To provide a seamlessly networked home theatre system Sony have now launched the BDP-S560 and BDP-S760 models that are Wi-Fi enabled alongside the STR-DN1000 AV receiver.
Three brand new additions to its Blu-ray player range were recently announced by Sony, which consists of its latest AV receiver, the STR-DN1000, the Sony BDP-S560 and the Sony BDP-S760. Consumers are offer the latest technology, which includes the very highest 1080p picture quality and 7.1 surround sound along with uncompromising style on all three of its products.
There are a number of great wireless features available on both the BDP-S560 and the BDP-S760, which are fully Wi-Fi enabled, the first is access to the fastest and most reliable wireless system currently available, Wireless-N, and the next is Wi-Fi protected setup, which establishes a secure connection between the Blu-ray player and the wireless network simply by pressing a single button on the WPS enable router.
The use of S-AIR (Sony Audio Interactive Radio Frequency) Digital Wireless Ready technology allows the STR-DN1000 unit to provide a full surround sound experience without the need for any wires.
Users looking to experience the great new features offered by BD-Live or wishing to download the latest firmware updates for their player will find that the wireless capabilities of the BDP-S560 and the BDP-S760 will make things even easier. Bonus content like trailers, film-based games and additional scene are now offered through BD-Live on an ever increasing number of movie titles.
The DLNA certification on both these player also allows users to transfer JPG files from room to room using other DLNA enable systems like the Sony Vaio PC.
