Recent figures have shown that the sale of Blu Ray discs in the UK have been soaring, indicating that a rising number of people now have Blu Ray players.
Whilst many people still have their trusted DVD players to watch the latest movie releases and their favourite series’ more and more people are coming to realise the benefits of Blu Ray. With Blu Ray players viewers are able to watch their movies with crystal clear clarity, with high quality visuals and sound to make their movie experience an outstanding one.
As with other forms of technology the price of Blu Ray players was high when they first came out, but the prices have started to come down, although they are still pricier than DVD players. However, for many viewers paying the extra cash is worth it because of the difference in viewing quality, and the increased interest in Blu Ray players has been reflected in the soaring sales of Blu Ray discs.
A sharp increase in the sale of Blu Ray discs has indicated that more and more people are buying Blu Ray players. Figures were released by the British Video Association showing that in the first three months of this year the level of Blu Ray disc sales increased by nearly seventy percent compared to the same period of last year.
Officials from the British Video Association said that the level of sales was a clear sign of how Brits had taken to the Blu Ray format, and how Blu Ray technology was becoming more affordable for movie fans.
